If everything is twisted a lil bit

We know that....

  • wearing skinny jeans and tight clothes is forbidden
  • holding hands with non-muhrims is forbidden
  • talking behind others is forbidden

....but we still have a heart to do all of this.

So bang your head and tell me.....

  • who we are
  • which one is worse, people who ignore only the 'do not+verb' part or people who ignore the whole idea of it

.....and why do we keep doing them.

Millions of people ignore only the 'do not+verb' part, but we're fine with it. But when one man on earth simply clarifies that he/she ignore the whole idea of it, we're speechless.

Does it means, millions of people pass with 50% marks and the man fails with zero?

Moon, though i respect your opinion, and i am open to other opinions which might differ largely from mine, i wouldn't go as far as implying that wearing skinny jeans should be slowly but surely accepted as a norm in our community as an ex-Muslim being a non-believer.

Sure, the comfortable habits that many Muslim tend to fall into are prohibited in our religion, these slip-ups do not mess up with our core belief that God the Almighty exist.

I'm not trying to be holier-than-thou here but this is just my opinion. Plus, this serves as a reminder for me for sure...

Plus no 2, you know i love you sebab tu aku tulis panjang-panjang nh hehe

can I say sth here without banging my head first? haha

In general I think believing in god is so basic that I can't think of a life without one. That's why I can't comprehend how a person could deny the very existence of god. And I believe so can't (most)other people too. Maybe that's why we are more comfortable with people pretending to be oblivious to His command than people rejecting the whole idea of His existence itself.

In a way, we believers are selfish because we want to have Him but choose to neglect Him. Still we feel that we are better than those who deny him. At least they have a reason to not obey.

Yes jera you're right. This should serve as a reminder for us all.

I've something to ask..

what's the term in Islam referring to moon's first case there? Is it kufur? i forgot. XD

And the 2nd case there.. Is it murtad?

If they are.. i was wondering if they fall under the same category of things that membatalkan iman. Does that make us equal in any sense?

Jera and Asma': I think in this society, we tend to do things that we're 'comfortable' with. We create our own tolerance level in order to fulfill our demands. After all, we believers are selfish because we want to have Him but choose to neglect Him.

Tasha:

1. Kufur can be divided into two. Kufur Hakikat and Kufur Nikmat. The word 'kafir' also means people who are kufur.

2. I found this in a blog and the source is claimed to be from Dr. Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri, Pensyarah Fakulti Syariah dan Undang-undang KUIM.

Perkara2 yg membatalkan akidah:

-Mengaku adanya Nabi selepas Nabi Muhammad s.a.w.

I just can provide some infos about the matter you brought up. I suggest you to further google them to gather more infos.

But, I have no right and no enough knowledge to say who is kufur and who is murtad.

The best is, we should try to improve ourselves instead of classifying what we still can do or how to do the 'do not+verb' in another way. It is what is.

Of course this is a reminder for all of us. Chill everyone! :P

this is what I found

kufur= menolak/ ingkar

(i)Kekufuran besar :

http://sautulhaq.blogspot.com/2009/10/kufur.html

kufur kecil belum membatalkan iman, tetapi tetap menanti balasan di akhirat...
